1. women are so self sacrifical..

from hongkong..globalization, as all other major processes/social forces has good and bad sides. the gd sides is that u get supermarkets, 711. makes u feel like u’re home. everywhere sells jap stuff, american stuff, zara, mango..central in HK looks like taka, BIG c In thailand is like giant, sometimes u walk ard, u can forget that u r in a different country. feels like home, but then again, that means home doesnt have character… u know i feel so safe and secure in 711 ;p

i saw the exact clothes i bought/tried/liked in zara and mango. gosh

hongkong is so much like london, st johns catheral is like fusion of st pauls in london and st andrew’s cathedral in singapore, but with the wesleyan meth crowd.there’s marks and spencer which expats, ang mohs, make the bulk of the shoppers, one could be fooled into believing dat one is in the UK!!

well, people always say globalization is not westernization, dats true. i mean i found som dum(thai green papaya salad) sauce in hongkong, something i never could find in thailand!! haa. and i managed to fool them into believing i was thai, just becoz i asked ‘how much’ in thai,but after 2 sentences they knew i was a fake ;p

another source of comfort is starbucks, in sing, in uk, in hongkong,inthailand, makes u feel like u’re in holland V.sipping the same ole cuppa latte. pasta is everywhere, so is beef horfun, singapore style, hongkong style, thai style, vietnamese style… thai food is everywhere, macs and kfc is everywhere.

so we all wear the same clothes, eat the same food probably its the nuances that make us kinda different. but why is it important to be different anyway? we were made different, and no matter how hard we try to be the same, we cant be the same, so wats the problem of trying to make somethign unique?STB listen up! haha i mean just be yourself la.

well 1st talk abt the leadership forum ya, i duno why pple like to compare the church with some certain certain cults in this region, and take them as our role model. U can have all sorts of opinions, however warped they are..I dont really care, because you are entitled to think what you think. just dont impose any laws on pple. unless its frm the Bible. Bible never say everybody must pray in tongues aloud at worship services, likewise Bible never say only can sing hymns in boring ways. why cant pple find this middle ground and walk for Jesus rather than walk (and fight) for worship styles? its sick ya, coz this is a leadership forum and these are leaders with.. funny minds.

and i realized, i’ve changed becos of some ‘friend’. i cant say everything is gd, but u know he is damned disorganized and i have to do everything for him, run his life, cant even go to the atm to top up his phone card, cant even write the call numbers for rbr books, cant even do nothing properly. but that made me a more capable person ya, i can officially run two pple’s life. i used to be I.S. my computer is now loading yamaha motif user manual.. i think i shld start a helpdesk on how to use different keyboards.. lol. just that i better make sure i know the keys la. but the usual problems are transposition and pedal polarity. other problems i have encoutered are cranky volume pedals, resetting the whole keyboard (Korg, yes).. and i still remember jason my saviour for saving the Korg, saved a trip to swee lee.

but once and for all, i’ll refer all the transposition and pedal polarity problems here.

for transposition,  search for some global /edit button and try fiddle here and there, any problems, just off the whole thing. sometimes u have to manually press the key that you want C to sound like (e.g. if u wanna transpose 1/2 up then press c#) or just scroll and its pretty idiot proof.sometimes there is this idiotic (e.g. alexis) modulation roller (NOT PITCH BLENDER) make sure its at zero..mostly, try not to anyhow press buttons la, if u do, remember what u pressed.. in its original key, u shldnt have any problems

for pedals, yamahas are kinda odd, u can try stepping on the pedal and on n off the keyboards as u step on the pedal. try changing pedals and swopping pedals, but 1st, check if the pedals are actually CORRECTLY plugged in *sigh*.. got korg, global, polarity. mostly, try to keep the pedals to its original lo, dun anyhow swap.actually this shldnt be a problem one..

i mean i’m glad to help out, usually i am very happy to help out, as long as u dun blame the keyboards. usually its because men (and women) misuse the instruments … :”( then come and ask me, why like that ah? so pls, all itchy finger musicians, be nice to your instrument la.

but today i realized oh the chinese congregation uses the insturments we use.. so its not always the youths who mess things up. in fact i think the youths are competent n responsible.. !

anyway, because i’m so clever, i managed to get good prices for my buys in thailand, because i talk cock and speak little thai. praisie (yes my fren is thai now) she told me i got good tourist price but she can get cheaper. but for patong beach, since tourist area and coz rent more ex etc, my prices were good.. proud of myself. well done sophie but for all the 20 30 or even 400 bahts i managed to slash, i lost 65 baht to the stupid hotel. they charged me for half eaten pringles.. which i didnt eat

i pity them, and so i paid the money, after all they have been tsunami hit, their hotels are not filled and the get very little money/month.i duno wats worse, if i pitied them or if i respected them and fought for my rights.

anyway, there’s also this kinda factory outlet kinda store at chinatown, somewhere near food street. but must search thru the clothes and cannot try (thank God mine all fit)

i got gap greeen t, gap grey spag, old navy spag, old navy track pants all for only 20 bucks.

they are all made in singapore/malaysia, and some are odd or off la. like factory rejects. but some seem ok.
